Humans have tried to train zebras but most attempts have failed. Zebras are known to panic too easily and are unpredictable in nature. Zebras are highly social and their groups are structured. They live in groups of one stallion and up to six mares. They communicate with barks and whinnies. There pattern of white stripes are unique for each zebra.
In Namibia there are people who believe that zebras where once all white. The zebra got his stripes after a fight with a monkey. The zebra lost his balance during the fight and tripped over fire. The fire sticks left marking over his white coat.
